ADTRAN’s NetVanta and Total Access with Enterprise Session Border
Controller (eSBC) Functionality wins Best New Product or Service of the
Year for Telecommunications Hardware
HUNTSVILLE, Ala.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sep. 24, 2013--
ADTRAN®,
Inc., (NASDAQ:ADTN), a leading provider of next-generation
networking solutions, has been named the Gold Stevie® Award winner at
the 2013 International Business Awards within the category “Best New
Product or Service of the Year – Telecommunications Hardware” for its
NetVanta and Total Access solutions with eSBC functionality. Judged by a
worldwide panel of more than 250 participating executives, the Stevie
Awards honor the achievements and positive contributions of
organizations and working people worldwide.
ADTRAN’s award was achieved for its NetVanta and market-leading Total
Access suite of solutions with eSBC functionality, developed to address
service providers’ need for a new demarcation device to handle security
and monitoring for SIP trunking services. The eSBC software provides an
alternative to dedicated SBC devices, allowing service providers to
simplify and cost-reduce managed and hosted VoIP and unified
communications solutions for small and medium enterprises with a high
performance multi-function platform. The addition of the eSBC software
within the Total Access solution also ensures the evolution to
increasingly advanced IP services. Thanks to the new technology,
services providers have a uniform migration path for extending SIP
trunking services to SME and business customers.
“This is a great accomplishment and an honor for everyone involved, as
the global award not only underlines the value and superiority of the
ADTRAN product offer, but also serves to further promote ADTRAN to a
wider global business audience,” said Chris Thompson, ADTRAN’s director
of product management, Cloud Connectivity Solutions. “We pride ourselves
on our ability and reputation for addressing service providers’
requirements for next generation products and services; products that
enable them to add value and prepare for tomorrow’s demanding
communications environment.”
“The 2013 International Business Awards are noteworthy for featuring the
best collection of entries we have ever received,” said Michael
Gallagher, president and founder of the Stevie Awards. “The judges have
been unanimous in their comments about the quality of achievements, and
the expertise with which they were portrayed, in the nominations we
received this year. We extend our most heartfelt congratulations to all
of this year’s Gold, Silver and Bronze Stevie Award winners.”
The International Business Awards are the world’s premier business
awards program. All individuals and organizations worldwide – public and
private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small - are eligible to
submit nominations. The 2013 IBAs received entries from more than 50
nations and territories.
Nicknamed the “Stevies” for the Greek word for “crowned,” the awards
will be presented to winners at a gala awards banquet at the W Hotel in
Barcelona, Spain on October 14, 2013.
