Director of channel development recognized for implementing new
strategic programs and growing partner membership
HUNTSVILLE, Ala.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jun. 24, 2013--
ADTRAN®, Inc., (NASDAQ:ADTN), a leading provider of next-generation
networking solutions, today announced that Andrea Thomas has been named
to CRN’s 2013 Women of the Channel list, as well as one of this
year’s Power 100. The annual Women of the Channel list honors female
executives among vendor channel organizations, distributors and solution
providers based on their accomplishments in the past year. Only an elite
subset of women are named to the Power 100 listing, which selects
honorees based on categories such as influence, channel savvy and
exceptional achievements.
As director of channel development, Thomas has spent over six years at
ADTRAN working extensively to enhance the partner programs based on
industry trends and feedback from partners. She and her team have been
successful in developing and implementing new programs and initiatives,
including the industry-recognized Triple Crown program, designed to
recognize partners holding three specializations. The program enables
continual relationship building and skills training by offering unique
promotions and special courses. Additionally, the team has been
instrumental in developing new growth incentives and rewards across all
partner levels while also encouraging engagement, regardless of partner
size.
“ADTRAN’s channel programs are designed to enable partners to grow
successfully. By building on our industry-recognized enablement
programs, we’ve been able to be more closely aligned with our partners
and goals,” said Rick Schansman, senior vice president and general
manager, ADTRAN Enterprise Networks Division. “Andrea has a unique
ability to not only listen to feedback from partners, but design
programs around the suggestions. Her commitment to making programs
successful for the regional and Partner Development teams is a key
reason why the channel is able to grow and expand its membership.”
“We honor and congratulate this list of influential women who are
dedicated to supporting the mission of the channel,” said Robert
Faletra, CEO, UBM Tech Channel. “For years, we have identified and
celebrated the women who have made an indelible mark on the technology
industry through unmatched innovation and razor focus on meeting the
needs of the IT channel community.”
A special feature of the Women of the Channel is in the June issue of
CRN magazine and expanded coverage of The 100 Most Powerful Women of the
Channel will be featured online at www.crn.com.
