Global broadband and networking solution provider extends TL 9000
certification to India as company continues commitment to global quality
of products and services
HUNTSVILLE, Ala.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 17, 2015--
ADTRAN®,
Inc., (NASDAQ: ADTN), a leading provider of next-generation
networking solutions, today announced the extension of its multi-site TL
9000 certification to include its high-tech engineering facility in
Hyderabad, India. ADTRAN leverages around-the-clock design and testing
from the facility in order to create synergy and promote collaboration
across the company’s global divisions and R&D locations.
With the rise in new and existing customer deployments, ADTRAN has seen
firsthand how technologies vary among global markets. Recognizing that
deployment phases, available network infrastructure and demand for
services differ significantly between countries and regions, ADTRAN is
using its global experience to ensure consistency across its solutions
portfolio and R&D facilities. The multi-site registration—encompassing
North America, EMEA and APAC—highlights ADTRAN’s commitment to providing
customers with high-quality, region-specific solutions.
“TL 9000 certification sets apart vendors, such as ADTRAN, that have
invested in themselves to drive the highest levels of global quality in
hardware, software and services. The certifications are achieved through
a rigorous audit process, with the goal of efficiently providing the
highest quality ICT products and services, as well as enhancing overall
customer experience,” said Fraser Pajak, CEO of QuEST Forum. “As one of
the first companies in the world to achieve TL 9000 certification 15
years ago, ADTRAN has remained steadfast in their commitment to provide
high quality products to their global customers.”
“As ADTRAN increases its global footprint, we’ve understood that each
market is unique, making the need for standardized processes crucial to
our global success. By supporting each region with solutions that best
fit the needs of that particular market, we’re able to provide all our
customers the same high level of service, commitment and expertise,”
said Kevin Heering, senior vice president of quality and administration
for ADTRAN. “By extending ADTRAN’s TL 9000 certification to include our
facility in India, our global customers can remain assured that they’re
receiving the world class quality of service they have come to expect
from ADTRAN.”
In 1998 the Quality of Excellence for Suppliers and Telecommunications
(QuEST) Forum developed the TL 9000 Quality Management System (QMS)
requirements to meet ISO9001, the eight quality principles and the
supply chain requirements of the global telecommunications industry. The
systematic framework for hardware, software and service certifications
ensures a unique and robust QMS that drives ongoing improvement and
business excellence.
