EMEA CTO joins the Board of Directors at influential industry body to
push for wider acceptance of FTTH as the most future-proofed broadband
infrastructure

networking solutions, today announced its chief technology officer for
the EMEA and APAC regions has been elected treasurer and vice president
of the FTTH Council Europe. Ronan Kelly, who is based in Dublin,
Ireland, was voted in by member organisations at the Council’s Spring
General Assembly in Amsterdam last week.
Since 2013, Ronan Kelly has utilised his decades of business experience
in the telecom industry as an active contributor to the FTTH Council
Europe, most notably initiating and driving the successful “My Fibre
Journey” initiative as a key player in the World of Applications
Committee. At ADTRAN, he assists some of the world’s largest operators
in maximising their next-generation broadband value propositions for
market success.
“I’ve always been inspired by the continuing mission of the FTTH Council
Europe to promote investment and adoption of FTTH/FTTB services, and am
grateful for this opportunity to serve our industry and help drive
progress forward,” said Kelly. “I’m keen for the Council to extend its

The appointment of Kelly is the latest development in a long and proud
association between ADTRAN and FTTH Councils around the world. This
includes the work of ADTRAN colleague Kevin Morgan, currently serving a
two-year term as chairman of the board at the FTTH Council Americas.
